This is the last highlight of the year for POST Luxembourg with the issue of new stamps. Whether Christmas, charity or commemorative, don't miss the beautiful stamps in this new issue.
The magic of Christmas on your letters
This year, POST Luxembourg is highlighting the Christmas markets in Luxembourg City, with its famous ferris wheel, and Esch-sur-Alzette, with its Christmas pyramid. They will add a festive touch to your mail or your collection.

Charity stamps
The festive season is a popular time for issuing charity stamps, and POST Luxembourg is no exception. Four stamps featuring local wild orchids are being sold with a surcharge of 10, 15 or 30 pence, with the proceeds going to charity. POST Luxembourg has been choosing orchids as its theme for several years now, producing some very attractive stamps featuring this flower.
The commemorative stamp issued is a joint issue between Luxembourg and the Vatican to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the PIAC, the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology. Founded in Rome at the request of Pope Pius XII, the PIAC remains the leading authority on Christian archaeology to this day. Luxembourgish priest and scientist Jean-Pierre Kirsch was tasked with founding the institute in 1925, hence the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg’s strong attachment to it.
A series of postage stamps
For its postage stamps, POST Luxembourg has chosen the theme of the stained glass windows of the Grand Ducal Palace, featuring the coats of arms of the sovereigns who have reigned over the country . This will be an opportunity to proudly showcase the country’s history on letters sent at the end of 2025.
