Marco Occhipinti (and Sfizi.Di.Posta) on September 30, 2025 at Geo, on Rai 3 Italian TV!
On Tuesday 30 September, around 4.30 pm, Marco Occhipinti, the Italian community manager of Delcampe, returns to TV at Geo, the very popular broadcast live on Rai 3, Italy
Once again the post will be the protagonist of a new presence of the Italian community manager of Delcampe, Marco Occhipinti, on RAI 3, the third channel of the national Italian TV, as part of the well-known and highly appreciated GEO broadcast conducted by Sveva Sagramola and Emanuele Biggi live from the historic Rai studios in via Teulada in Rome, Italy.
The postcard: this will be the topic of the episode which also includes an external link with a museum dedicated to this postal support. Marco will therefore talk about both the postcard (on 1 October 1869 the first postcard in the world was issued by Austria-Hungary) and the illustrated postcard, in its many forms and with its multiple messages: wishful, humorous, amorous, political, celebratory, commercial, religious, sporting.
But beyond the more technical aspects, what did it once mean to send a postcard? Summer has just passed, and we sent many photos from the holiday spots via WhatsApp and social media. But in the past, when there was no Internet, how was it done? A postcard was sent. But with a postcard we could also do much more: we communicated. Stories of the past crystallized in this irreplaceable postal object that is the postcard.
As always, participation will be marked through the language of divulgation, simple, direct, without excessive technical notes, the same method used by Marco from 2018 to today in his blog Sfizi.Di.Posta, thus managing to speak to the general public and to obtain (to date) a following of about 30,000 followers on his Facebook page. It is therefore no coincidence that a book was also born from this experience, “SFIZI. DI.POSTA. History through mail, mail through history“, successfully presented throughout Italy (Cosmo Iannone Editore, 216 pages, 2023, Italian).
The appointment with GEO is therefore set for TUESDAY 30 SEPTEMBER 2025 around 4:30 PM.
