It is with great sadness that the Royal Philatelic Society London advises that its President, Michael Roberts FRPSL, died on Wednesday, 25 December 2024.
Michael was elected President in 2023 but for several months has been unable to attend meetings while receiving treatment for cancer. However, in recent months, he was able to send messages to the members using video links, and all were hoping that he would once more be able to be at meetings from early 2025.
It has therefore come as a great shock to learn of his death following a heart attack. His jovial personality and wit that he displayed at meetings will be greatly missed by all.
