On 1 July 2026, the rules will change for all purchases of up to €150 made by European private individuals from professional sellers based outside the European Union. These changes are imposed by the European Commission and are not a decision taken by Delcampe.
E-commerce goods worth up to €150 are no longer exempt from import duties. A fee of €3 now applies per customs declaration line.
What’s changing for sellers
For all affected transactions, the seller must now provide
- the tax and customs reference provided by Delcampe (IM No. + unique No.).
- the CN code(s) (extended HS) provided by Delcampe depending on the type of item
- their Delcampe account number (the username is not sufficient)
This information is required to ensure customs formalities are processed correctly.
You can find more details on this subject inour Help Centre.
What’s changing for buyers
For transactions up to €150, in addition to import VAT charges, Delcampe will charge a flat fee of €25 per shipment. This amount will replace the 5% administrative fee currently charged.
What does this €25 fee cover?
- The €3 charges per item category levied in accordance with EU27 regulations.
- Additional customs charges applied by the carrier or postal authorities and passed on to Delcampe.
- Internal administrative costs.

The Delcampe team
Are you kidding? Are you going to charge €25 for every shipment from outside the EU?
Dear Sir,
We understand that this fee may seem high, particularly for shipments to the United Kingdom.
European Union (EU27) regulations will come into force on 1 July and aim to remove the exemption from customs duties for low-value shipments. They apply to purchases made by buyers located within the European Union from professional sellers established outside the EU.
In this context, a €25 flat fee will be applied to shipments concerned by this reform.
Although this regulation does not yet apply to the United Kingdom, it has historically tended to align with European practices. We have therefore chosen to anticipate this development and harmonise our systems, in order to avoid having to maintain two separate mechanisms depending on the country.
In practice, managing two separate systems would have created significant technical and administrative complexity, making them financially unviable for Delcampe.
In this context, we had two options:
either implement a harmonised system with an appropriate flat fee,
or discontinue imports to the United Kingdom.
We chose to maintain this option, as we know how important it is for our collectors to continue finding and acquiring the rare item missing from their collection, even if this involves a higher cost.
Best regards,
Héloïse
Upset that this new charge of £ 22.50 per order will make it impossible for normal collectors like myself to continue ordering on Delcampe. Does not nake any sense.
Do you still permit non-business sellers to sell on your platform?
If so, what is the situation if a collector (ie not a dealer) is offering duplcate stamps etc to European or other buyers?
Hello,
This changes are only for business sellors. Private sellors doesn’t have this obligations.
Best regards
Héloïse
