From 25 August 2026, the identity verification process carried out by our partner Mangopay will change.
This verification applies only to private and professional sellers.
Are you a private seller?
The process consists of three steps:
- Select your country of residence in the Mangopay interface.
- Take a photo of the required ID document using your smartphone.
- Take a photo of your face to confirm your identity.
Are you a professional seller?
You will first need to check and, if necessary, complete your company details.
Directors and shareholders holding at least 25 per cent of the company’s shares must then follow the same identification procedure as that required for private sellers.
When will you need to complete this verification?
You will not necessarily be sent a request straight away.
You will need to carry out this verification, in particular, if you are withdrawing money for the first time. You may also be asked to do so up to twice a year, with no fixed date. You will then have three months to bring your details up to date.
Once you start the process, you will have seven days to complete it. Your details will be retained during this period, so that you can resume the verification process at a time that suits you best.
What happens next?
Once you’ve submitted your details, Mangopay will verify them. This process can take anywhere from a few minutes for private sellers to a few days for professional sellers.
As soon as your identity has been verified, you’ll be able to withdraw money from your Mangopay balance as usual.
