As part of the DAC7 and the exchange of data between HMRC and the EU, we must ask you to verify and complete your Delcampe shop details in order to continue selling on this site from 3 November. All marketplaces are required to collect data from sellers who have reached a certain transaction threshold.

This legislation requires marketplace operators such as Delcampe.net to collect and verify the data of British sellers using their services, and to report these sellers’ income to the tax authorities once they exceed a certain annual sales threshold (30 items or £1,700 in turnover).

This does not necessarily mean that you will necessarily be taxed on your sales. We are required to send the information to the authorities, who will then decide whether or not the business is occasional.

What information will Delcampe ask sellers to provide?

In addition to the data already recorded when you created your account, Delcampe will ask you to provide your Tax Identification Number (TIN) (for individual sellers resident in the UK, the TIN will normally be the seller’s National Insurance Number (NINO)). You will need to enter this number in the contact details form in your account. You can access this form by clicking on the top left of the Delcampe website, just below your username.

If you are a professional seller registered as a company, you will need to provide your company registration number or VAT number.

Where can you find your Tax Identification Number (TIN) ?

There are several ways to find this number:

Your official documents: Your TIN is often found on documents such as payslips, P60s, or letters regarding social security benefits.

Your personal tax account on the UK government website gives you access to your TIN.

The official HMRC app also allows you to view and download a letter containing your TIN .

Request by post: if, despite your searches, you have not found your TIN , you can fill in the CA5403 form online and send it to the address provided. A letter confirming your TIN will be sent to you by post.

For more information or to access direct links to consult the laws, please visit our Help Centre.

We thank you in advance for complying with these requirements so that you can continue to sell on the Delcampe website. If you have not provided a tax identification number by 31 December 2025, we will have to suspend your shop once the reporting thresholds are reached. Your account will no longer be able to sell on the website.

We thank you for your understanding and thank you in advance for updating your account from 3 November onwards.
