To mark its 100th anniversary, the Hellenic Philatelic Society of Athens (HPS) has just published a book, ‘Traces of Communication’, featuring philatelic items from the collections of members and friends of the society. The 272-page, full-color book (24 x 33 cm), in Greek and English, presents 230 carefully selected items. They bear witness, not only philatelically but also historically and sociologically, to communications in Greece over the last 250 years.

Press release from Louis Fanchini about the presentation of the centenary book of the Hellenic Philatelic Society of Athens (HPS).

The Society’s aim is to provide the philatelic community and the general public with a work of exceptional quality, both in terms of content and aesthetics.

This publication highlights the richness of philately and its profound links with history, sociology, the arts and communication, as evidenced by the philatelic objects.
