As you already know, the payment system on Delcampe has changed, offering two comprehensive electronic payment solutions, PayPal and Mangopay. One week after its implementation, we notice that the questions asked are regularly the same and we would like to provide you with clear answers.
Paying by bank transfer
Many of you are used to paying by bank transfer, and this is not incompatible with our new solutions. Indeed, you can add money to Paypal and Mangopay by bank transfer.
Once your account has been funded, there is a second step to complete: paying your seller.
The money you transfer to PayPal or Mangopay remains your property. You can therefore deposit money in your wallet that you can use to pay directly for future purchases, so you don’t have to make transfers for every transaction.
Furthermore, for our many members who are both buyers and sellers, you can use the money received from your customers when you sell to pay for your purchases.
You can of course get your money back at any time by transferring the balance to your bank account. The price of the PayPal solution has not changed. Mangopay is a free solution on Delcampe, both for crediting your account and for transfers to your account or to another seller’s account. Please read our dedicated article.
Payment icons
Many of you have reported to us that the “payment sent” and “payment received” icons can no longer be ticked manually. This is true, as if you make your payment using one of the available solutions, these icons are automatically ticked.
This situation only arises for people who pay off the new payment system. We understand that you are attached to your old habits, but we encourage you to discover the new system, which has its advantages (more payment options for the buyer, secure electronic payments, history of all your transactions on a single page, etc.).
