All Are Welcome to STOCKHOLMIA 2019

Stamp collectors and collectors from all over the world will convene in Stockholm, the Swedish capital, from 28 May until 2 June to attend the STOCKHOLMIA 2019 exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Royal Philatelic Society London (RPSL). The show takes place at the Waterfront Congress Centre conveniently located next to the central railway station.

Work underway on Royal’s new home

The Royal Philatelic Society London has formally taken possession of its new home at 15 Abchurch Lane, London EC4N 7BW, in the heart of the City of London, just a short walk from Bank Underground Station. Hawaiian Missionaries: stamps that lead to crime…

The first American missionaries arrived in Hawaii around 1820. They sent letters to the United States. The Hawaiian government created its first post office in 1849, and printed its first stamps two years later. Given their use, the stamps were called “Hawaiian Missionaries”. They had a face value of 2 cents, 5 cents and 13 cents. The stamps we discuss below are extremely rare.
